You must be a New York State resident or otherwise eligible to receive in-state tuition.

You are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application to be considered. You must qualify for a federal Pell grant, NY State TAP award or Excelsior Scholarship. 

If you are ineligible to file a FAFSA, you must still complete the José Peralta NYS DREAM Act application.

*For Fall 2024, Students are not required to be in receipt of Pell but must be in receipt of at least $1 of federal or state financial aid.

You agree to maintain full-time status and enroll in at least 15 credits per semester in an ACE-approved major (see list below).

Students in other majors will be considered at the discretion of the director.

 

Entering students must be first-time freshmen*, or transfer students with an Associate’s degree**.

*First-year students may transfer in college credits earned while in high school.

**Transfer students must be able to complete their degree in four semesters. 

Students must remain in good academic standing. 

Be willing to enroll in summer or winter courses if required to stay on track to graduate in four years.

Participate in all required ACE program activities, such as advisor meetings, tutoring hours, and career development workshops.

You will be invited to attend the residential ACE Summer Program July 14th -17th (the 17th will be all-campus orientation). If you cannot attend the Summer Program, you must attend a virtual Info Session in August.
