Leadership Opportunities
Leadership at Purchase College is the process of students helping other students reach their full potential and motivating them towards the achievement of a common goal. You are invited to become a leader through the following ways.
All leadership opportunities will supplement the artistic and academic pursuits by providing leaders with challenges, successes, group interaction skills and personal growth opportunities to become local, national, and global citizens.
Purchase College Leadership Institute (PCLI)
The Purchase College Leadership Institute is a one-year cohort based certificate program. The program is open to any Purchase student who wants an opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills and abilities to become a leader in their community. Upon completion of all PCLI program requirements students would receive an Excellence in Leadership and Innovation certificate.

Purchase Student Government Association (PSGA)
Run entirely by students, the PSGA is the voice of the student body on campus and decides how your student activity fee is spent.
Senate
The PSGA Senate makes most of the decisions within the PSGA. Senators advocate for the student body and decide on how to fund student clubs, organizations, services, and events.
Executive Board
The Executive Board members act as the primary student liaisons to campus administration, College Senate committees, and the Student Assembly of the State University of New York. They also may hire and dismiss employees of the PSGA, oversee service operations, and veto decisions of the Student Senate.
Student Orientation Leaders (SOLs)
Student orientation leaders are the eyes, ears, and energy behind our amazing Welcome Week. These students help set the stage for incoming students to continue to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. This student staff possess a vast body of knowledge about Purchase College, acquired through training and experience, and are sincerely happy to share this information with orientation participants.

Programming Activities Board (PAB)
The Programming Activities Board is a student-run programming board that coordinates and hosts a wide array of large and small scale events for the students of Purchase College. Our mission is to perform outreach to different populations at Purchase to make sure there is something for everyone. Looking to get involved? Resident Assistant
Resident Assistants (RAs) are paraprofessional staff members of the Office of Residential and Student Life, reporting directly to the designated Residence Coordinator (RC) for their hall or area. RAs are full-time students enrolled at Purchase College and employed to work as part of a team within the office to provide assistance, guidance, support, and direction to the residents in their area. In turn, RAs are also responsible for communicating about the community climate back to the RC. This includes but is not limited to, welfare concerns, violations of student code of conduct or any housing policy, facilities concerns, and anything else that could have the potential to effect the community.

Admissions Ambassadors
Admission Ambassadors are the ambassadors for the college. They are passionate and prideful about the college and love to speak about it! These students run the daily Admissions tours of the campus. They are knowledgeable about the college, facilities, and campus activities. In addition they assist the Office of Admissions with all events including Open Houses, Accepted Students Days, and Portfolio Decision Days. These ambassadors also provide private tours for distinguished alumni and guest of the President’s Office. When the ambassadors aren’t giving tours they are working in the Office of Admissions. They assist with mailings, data entry, and other office duties. They also write emails, and talk over the phone to prospective students. Lead ambassadors supervise the Admission social media and text accounts. Admission Ambassadors are enthusiastic and articulate campus leaders that want provide prospective students and guest the perfect Purchase experience and represent exactly what the college stands for!

International Orientation Leaders
Being an International Orientation Leader is a unique leadership opportunity for globally minded students to connect with peers from around the world and to introduce them to both Purchase and US culture. International Orientation Leaders are an integral part of the International Student Orientation and function as the main source of student life information for incoming international students. They assist the Office for Global Education team during all scheduled events during Orientation, including programming and dynamic group activities. International Orientation Leader are skilled in cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication as they work supporting students from all over the world.
