Off-Campus Financial Aid
The federal and state financial aid you receive during the year may be used to assist you with paying for the following off-campus study options, dependent on the number of degree applicable credits you enroll in.
Studying Abroad Off Campus study Cross Registration- through another SUNY School
Plan ahead to study off-campus!
- Make sure to work with your advisor on what degree requirements, electives or major requirements, can be taken off-campus or through a study abroad program. Financial aid is based only on degree applicable coursework so plan ahead to reserve coursework that fulfills your degree requirements to receive financial aid.
- Complete the applications for any financial aid programs you wish to receive as soon as possible. Most applications like FAFSA and TAP are available starting October 1st for the future academic year.
- Review the cost for the college or program you plan to attend to determine if the cost will be more than your normal Cost of Attendance here at Purchase College. In addition you will want to determine if any costs need to be paid out of pocket or up front before the program begins.
Potential financial aid is based on your degree applicable credits. You can still take and pay for non-degree applicable credits out of pocket.
