Awards and Recognition
Purchase College honors the achievements of our community in a variety of ways each year.
Whether students, faculty, staff or alumni, Purchase College is truly proud of all the members of our community and want to ensure they are recognized for achievement and excellence.
Student Recognition
There are several ways in which our students are recognized each year, either on campus or through the larger SUNY system. Those honors include:
- The President’s Award for Achievement
- The President’s Award for Student Public Art on Campus
- SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence
Staff Recognition
The President’s Award for Classified Service is awarded annually to Purchase College Classified Service and Management/ Confidential Classified Staff employees in recognition of their outstanding performance, commitment to the campus community, and personal growth. The awards are presented at Convocation in the fall.
The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are System-level honors conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.
Alumni Recognition
The President’s Award for Distinguished Alumni marks the occasion of a maturing institution and honors distinguished alumni whose demonstrated excellence and significant contributions within their chosen fields reflect on the quality of their educational experience at Purchase College.
