Long-Term Equipment Loan Program
Purchase College is committed to ensuring that every student has equal access to the technology tools and support they need to succeed in their discipline.
The Instructional Technology Advisory Committee’s (ITAC) Long-Term-Equipment-Loan (LTEL) Program is intended to ensure that all students have access to laptops, computers, and the technology and support they need to develop the skills needed to succeed in their major and in the workforce.
Pell Grant recipients with near-zero EFC can be provided with Long Term Equipment Loans for as long as they remain actively enrolled at the college. LTELs are assumed to be a multi-year commitment to the student – through to graduation.
LTELs may include laptops, desktops, and other devices, as well as specialized software for their major where necessary. LTEL equipment does not need to be returned to the college between semesters (unlike the standard loan pool equipment available to all students). Upon graduation, LTEL equipment must be returned to the College within 90 days.
For All Students:
- All Purchase students can take advantage of the CTS Equipment Loan Pool – it is free. The CTS loan pool contains many DSLR and Video cameras, audio recorders, laptops, tripods, lighting kits, and much more. You can browse the equipment in the loan pool and reserve your gear using the Work Order Tracking (WOT) system.
- The standard loan period is one week, but you can request a longer timeframe.
- Students also have access to Microsoft Office 365 among other software. Please see our Software Downloads page.
For Pell Grant Recipients:
