Opportunities for Alumni to “Give Back” to Purchase College Students
The Purchase Alumni Mentor Network
The Career Development Center invites you to participate in The Purchase Alumni Mentor Network. In partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement, this exciting alumni mentoring/networking platform is designed to connect students with alumni professionals from various careers and industries. Purchase student mentees can speak with alumni to explore their career interests with virtual, phone, or pre-arranged in-person conversations while building connections to a robust professional network.

- Privacy Protected - All communication is routed through the Firsthand system. You can communicate with mentees through direct messaging in the system and via phone consultations over a dedicated conference line.

Once registered for the Purchase Alumni Mentor Network, Purchase Mentors:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students and recent alumni through our Firsthand (Powered by Vault) platform. Mentees reach out to Mentors through direct messaging and can request a meeting through the system.
- Have access to free Upskilling courses in Firsthand that include software training, workplace skills, leadership skills, communication, time management, and more.
- Can assess the Vault Guides in all different fields, view Vault rankings of organizations, and browse through the video library to view videos on different career topics.
- May be invited to participate in professional career readiness skills training and/or panels on-campus (and virtually) including Networking practice events, Mock Interview Day, career topic panels, Networking & Dining Etiquette practice, and other valued programs.
- Connect with the Career Development Center to help promote any internship, job, or professional training opportunities they want to share with students.
Serve on a Career Panel
Alumni are also invited to share their career experiences and insights as career panelists. These events provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet students with great potential, and for students to learn about career possibilities, and have their questions answered about different career options.
