Transportation and Amenities
Navigating college life is complicated enough. We try to make it as easy as possible: please note some services have been modified due to the pandemic.
Parking and Transportation
For an overview on getting to campus, including directions, start here. The Office of Parking and Transportation handles all issues related to vehicles and transit procedures, including tickets and appeals. Students, staff, and faculty who plan to park on campus are required to register their vehicles.
Personal Banking
There is one ATMs located on campus at Campus Center North.
Laundry
All campus housing have centralized laundry rooms except for Alumni Village which has machines in each apartment. There is no charge to use the machines as your residence hall charges covers this service. You can check to see if machines are open by using Laundry Connect. You can also have the system alert you when a machine becomes available and submit a repair request.
Campus More Card Services
Your Purchase ID card is your ticket to using your meal plan, getting into buildings, riding the Loop, and accessing many other campus resources. For details, visit the More Card site.
The Market
A convenience store, The Market is just off the main plaza in Campus Center South, selling essential items such as school supplies, health products, canned goods, frozen food, and hair dye—that’s an essential item at Purchase.
Purchase Bookstore
Following a move toward digital materials coupled with market forces, our bookstore vendor moved online. Our bookstore offers convenient ordering and discounts on all your course materials. The Market offers many of the ancillary items previously found in the bookstore.
Vending Machines
Every vending machine on campus can process credit and debit. And if one eats your money? Contact the More Card Office at 914–251–6330 and we’ll get it back for you.
Student Health Insurance
All full-time students are required to have health insurance. For more information, visit the Health Services site.
