Purchase offers a robust Intramurals and Recreation Program, featuring a variety of programs and facilities open to all students, faculty, and staff. The Physical Education building is home base to all of these activities.
Intramural Sports
The Intramural program is a way for students to play their favorite sports without the commitment and the pressures of joining a varsity team.
We hope that all students, regardless of skill level, benefit from the program mentally, physically, and socially, and that the students take pleasure in their accomplishments through participation in the program.
The program includes coed team sports such as basketball, dodge ball and kick ball, among many others. A high skill level is not required.
Recreation Programs
Nerf wars, capoeira, or stage combat more your thing? Drop in to one of the many recreational clubs offered. No commitment necessary.
Trip and Events
From major league soccer games to the New York Renaissance Fair to Broadway shows, hop on the bus for a single day adventure off campus.
Aquatics
Purchase offers a heated Olympic-size swimming pool with six lanes and a diving well.
