Campus Life

Campus Life

There’s no community quite like this one.

Ask Purchase students their favorite thing about Purchase, and most often, their answers will share a theme—the sense of community.

It’s the people and the place. Often described as a bubble—in a good way—Purchase’s sense of community comes from the open-minded, collaborative, and supportive people drawn here.

It also comes from the campus itself. The buildings lie clustered together in the middle of 500 protected acres of forest, fields, and wildlife.

It’s a campus built for pedestrian life—your walk to class is peaceful, surrounded by public art created by both students and renowned artists alike. You’ll meet peers, faculty, friends, and potential collaborators on the way.

Culture Shock

Like a mini-Coachella, Culture Shock features performances by some of the area’s best emerging artists in a range of musical genres. There’s tons of food, carnival rides, games, vendors, and activities. It’s exclusive—only Purchase students and their guests can attend. It’s the perfect end-of-year celebration.
