Visual & Performing Arts Visits:
We set up these visits on most Wednesdays and Fridays, and they include a general campus tour, an arts info session, and a conservatory tour of your choice: Acting, Film, Music (Composition, Studio, Performance), Dance, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Theatre Design/Technology, Theatre and Performance, and Visual Arts.
Registration is strongly encouraged, as these fill up quickly!
Dance Visits:
Students interested in studying Dance, don’t miss your opportunity to tour the nation’s first ever building designed solely for dance education! Offered on select Mondays and Tuesdays beginning at 12:45pm throughout the academic year, this visit affords students the opportunity to observe a dance class, tour the dance building, and meet with a faculty/staff member. Space is limited so register early!
Due to the Class Observation part of this visit, space is limited. Registration is strongly encouraged, as these fill up quickly!

Visual Media Day
This visit day (typically on a Saturday in November) is for visually-oriented prospective students—high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors—who want to see what the arts at Purchase are all about. The day includes presentations in various academic areas like Film, New Media, Designing for Theatre, Costume Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design and Photography, and also includes an optional one-on-one portfolio review. We offer open info sessions on financial aid and life as an artist, as well as campus tours, open studios, and shop tours.
Express Decision Portfolio Review Day
For Art+Design Applicants
Each year we have an Express Decision Portfolio Review Day, the 2019 date has not yet been determined. Exclusively for applicants to our Art+Design programs, this event gives you the chance to show your work to our faculty. Immediate admission will be granted to students who meet or exceed the college’s portfolio and academic standards.
Please be sure to submit your application in full prior to the event in order to be considered for a same-day admission decision!
