Youth Programs: Young Writers

  • Youth
  • Summer
  • Session-II

Develop an already-awakened writing interest or improve writing skills over the summer!

Grades 6–8

Young Writers learn essential elements of the writer’s craft—descriptive detail, poetic language, punctuation as craft, and voice—that make writing come alive. Students practice close reading and engage in revising their work under the guidance of accomplished instructors.

Young Writers is designed to foster creativity and imagination—and to help students discover and develop their innate gifts and talents. Our instructors are highly imaginative educators, dedicated to making writing an adventure and a lifelong joy.

Young Writers share their favorite work in a culminating reading to which friends and family are invited.
