Students examine the historical and theoretical foundations of the medium, and they collaborate in creating content with an emphasis on community-centered media. By the time students complete the minor they will be able to do the following:

  • Critically analyze different television genres
  • Describe the broad outlines of the aesthetic, cultural, and technological histories of television
  • Write and/or produce content in fiction, narrative, and/or experimental forms of television genres
  • Integrate critical thinking into creative work

Students in any discipline may pursue this minor by submitting a completed Application for a Program of Minor Study.
