How to Apply to the Concentration:

After the common Foundations (first-year) curriculum offered to all students within Art + Design, students will be able to apply for the Integrative (general) Graphic Design/BFA (i.e. the program of study currently offered within Graphic Design) or for the new concentration in Illustration.  When rising sophomores declare Graphic Design as their major—in advance of Advising week and Registration week for the upcoming Fall semester—students will submit a portfolio of Foundation course work thus far completed, along with their transcript and a short statement of interest for review by Graphic Design faculty. Faculty will evaluate these materials from each prospective Graphic Design major to appropriately advise them to pursue either the integrative BFA or the Illustration Concentration within the BFA.
