Program Learning Outcomes
Students who graduate with a major in General Studies will be able to demonstrate:
- Critical Thinking: the ability to address problems using logic and systematic analysis, compare and synthesize perspectives, distinguish contradictions, and identify causes.
- Communication Skills: the ability to communicate in written, oral and visual forms and effectively engage, inform, or persuade an audience.
- Information Literacy: the ability to identify, evaluate, organize, and apply information of various types, determine their credibility, and follow conventions of information use.
- Ethics and Innovation: the ability to apply ethical and evidence-based reasoning in problem-solving and devise strategies for action.
- Organizational Skills: the ability to develop and meet goals, assume self-directed learning and responsible work ethics, and adapt to change (new approaches, methods, and technologies).
