Weekly shooting assignments and class discussions, friendly critiques and reviews will expand your understanding of photography and help you find your own personal vision and propel your work to new heights. Turn your basic technical skills in photography toward focusing on aesthetic and conceptual concerns. Expand your ability to appreciate and interpret images as art by learning how to see light, shadow, geometry, composition, and tonality.

Develop proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, focus on professional techniques to enhance and manipulate digital images. Discuss and practice key skills including retouching, creating precise selections, masking, and applying creative effects. Learn how to optimize images for print and web, organize and archive your work. Explore creative outputs such as fine art print layouts, photo books, and web galleries.

Understand the creative use of digital photography, starting with image capture using a DSLR/mirrorless camera to enhancements in Adobe Photoshop. Practice new techniques in response to a series of lectures and assignments. Includes hands-on work, such as in class photo walks, and an introduction to the history of color photography. Bring your own a digital camera.
