Minor
Asian Studies
Understanding Asia from many angles.
A Complex Continent
Asia occupies roughly one-third of the Earth’s land surface, and about three-fifths of its population live here. It’s the birthplace of all the world’s major religions. Rich in natural resources, it’s home to two-thirds of the world’s known crude oil and natural gas reserves. And it’s the fastest-growing economic region.
Take an Interdisciplinary Approach
For students with a broad set of interests, the Asian Studies minor provides a structured way to engage in a rigorous cross-disciplinary educational experience.
With courses in anthropology, art history, Chinese language, cinema and television studies, history, literature, philosophy, political science, and theatre and performance as options, you can create a college experience beyond established borders.
