Welcome!
The Neuberger Museum of Art is a vibrant hub of creativity, learning, and inspiration for all ages! Located at the heart of Purchase College, SUNY, our Museum invites you to explore breathtaking exhibitions of modern, contemporary, and African art, along with dynamic events that spark thought and conversation.
Founded in 1969 with a generous gift of 300 works from Roy R. Neuberger, a pioneering philanthropist and arts advocate, our collection has expanded to nearly 7,000 objects. Here, you’ll encounter masterpieces by renowned artists like Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Willem de Kooning, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, Lee Krasner, Jackson Pollock, Faith Ringgold, and Andy Warhol, to name just a few.
We also honor exceptional contemporary artists with the Roy R. Neuberger Prize, continuing our founder’s commitment to supporting emerging talent and making art accessible to all.
Beyond our permanent collection, we offer critically acclaimed exhibitions that attract visitors from near and far. Whether you’re a student, educator, artist, or art lover, our engaging events — including tours, lectures, and programs — are designed to inspire, challenge, and connect our diverse community.
Our members play a vital role in sustaining the museum’s mission, supporting our vision of showcasing global contemporary artists, fostering arts education, and creating a space for exploration and growth.
At the Neuberger Museum of Art, the possibilities are endless. Come join us, experiment, question, and grow through the transformative power of art.
