Senior Week will be May 13-May 16. All events are strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Some events require registration.

May 11
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation is an event to honor our LGBTQIA+ graduates at Purchase College, SUNY. This is the second annual ceremony that will be happening on May 11, 2024 from 2:30pm-5:30pm on the Great Lawn (rain location Humanities Theatre). First 75 students to RSVP are guaranteed a rainbow stole.
May 13
Senior Sayonara
11:30am-4:00pm, Southside Lounge/Great Lawn
Senior Week will launch with Senior Sayonara, a welcoming and therapeutic event for all seniors graduating in May 2024. Senior Sayonara offers seniors a chance to unwind after years of hard work and dedication while also being able to say a proper goodbye to their college experience. We have put together a collective of creative activities to help relieve stress, such as painting and bracelet making, with two sessions of yoga and also planting. Seniors will then have the opportunity to decorate and write in their brand new journals (which will be provided). Towards the end of our event, seniors can write things they wish to let go of on plates and then either smash or keep these plates. This event was planned and produced by the Arts Management Programming the Arts class

Movie Pizza Pool Party
8:00pm-10pm, The Pool in the Physical Education Building
Watch a movie while splashing in the pool with friends or eating pizza. Bring your bathing suit and towel and meet us in the pool for some laps and some fun!
May 15
Black Graduation
Calling all students that are apart of the African Diaspora or identifies as black. Come be celebrated by your family, friends, and fellow students.
Picture Me Grad!
Want a personal graduation photoshoot? Here is your chance! Sign up to have your own Purchase graduation photoshoot by a current Purchase student photographer. Space is limited so make sure to register. Photoshoots are weather dependent.
Not So Prom
9:30pm-12:30, The Hub
Get dolled up or don’t and meet us for a night of dancing mocktails, and food ! Let’s get rid of the social norms and stigmas from high school and do Prom Purchase style!
May 16
Commencement Ceremony Rehearsal
11am-12pm, The Gym
Rehearsal is completely optional. Rehearse the order of ceremony and how you will cross the stage. Come to get all your questions answered.
You Did It BBQ & Field Day
1pm-3pm, The Dinning Hall
Celebrate all of your accomplishments and senior projects at the You Did It BBQ. Come to the Dinning Hall to enjoy some music, food, and field games. No registration is needed just bring a friend and your appetite!
My Purchase Story: Mock Bonfire and S’mores Bar
1pm-3pm, The Quad
Share your Purchase story and experiences with your fellow classmates. Reminisce about your time at Purchase over a mock bonfire while enjoying the S’more Bar. Come relax and engage with some alumni who have been in your shoes, preparing for life after Purchase.
