All students applying to the Studio Production, Jazz Studies, and Voice and Opera Studies programs must first submit the Audition Request Form and a pre-screening CD to the Conservatory of Music. Students will then be selected for a live, on-campus audition. Only students who are offered a live audition will be considered for admission to these programs.

Follow these instructions when applying to Purchase College as a Transfer Music applicant.

IMPORTANT: Audition requests will not be taken by phone. You must request a preferred live audition date through your myPurchase account approximately one to two weeks after you submit your application.

Note: Transfer students who were enrolled in an Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), College Discovery (CD) or similar special program at their initial college should review the Educational Opportunity Program portion of this website.

Step 3: AUDITIONS - Submit a pre-screening audition recording (in CD form), request a preferred live audition date through your myPurchase account and submit a non-refundable $54 check made payable to Purchase College, Conservatory of Music to:

Live audition – Only those students who pass the prescreening step in the application process will be asked to come in for a live audition.  The Conservatory of Music will contact students directly.
