Area of Interest: Music
Entry Semester Available: Spring 2009 –Classical Music Performance Instrumental and Jazz Studies only.  For Classical Instrumental Performance, only the following instruments:  violin, viola, oboe, bassoon, harp, piano, trombone, French horn. All other programs are closed for Spring 2009.
Fall 2009 - All Programs
Application Deadline: Spring 2009 - December 1, 2008; Fall 2009 - February 1, 2009

Who may apply:
a. Persons holding an undergraduate degree or the equivalent from an accredited college in the United States or an approved institution of higher education abroad.

b. Persons who are enrolled for a bachelor's degree who are in their senior year.

Follow these instructions when applying to Purchase College as a graduate applicant.

Note: International Applicants must follow the international application instructions.

Choose one of three graduate level Programs:

1.  Performers Certificate - (Post Baccalaureate: One-Year or Two-Year)
2.  Master of Music
3.  Artist Diploma - (Post Masters: One-Year or Two-Year)

These Programs are offered in the following areas:
Brass
Composition
Harp
Strings
Percussion
Piano
Opera studies
Studio Composition (Masters in Music only)
Woodwinds
Jazz Studies
Classical Guitar

Step 1: Submit your completed Purchase College Graduate Application to:

Office of Admissions

Attn: Graduate Programs

Step 2: Include with your application packet the following items:

- a Non-Refundable Application fee of $50
(payable to Purchase College)

- Personal Statement

- Official transcripts (in envelopes sealed by the registrar) from all
schools attended.

- Three letters of recommendation

- If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must request and complete
the Purchase College International Application.

- NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS ALL OF THE ABOVE ITEMS ARE INCLUDED
WITH YOUR THE APPLICATION.

Step 3: Submit a pre-screening audition recording (in CD form), schedule a live audition and submit a non-refundable $54 check made payable to Purchase College, Conservatory of Music to:
