Step 1: Send your completed application (after it is reviewed by your guidance counselor), a check for $40 (payable to "SUNY APC"), and your Official Transcripts to:

A letter of intent addressing: A. Why you want to be admitted to the program; B. What you consider to be your writing strengths. C. What you consider to be your writing weaknesses.
Samples of either Poetry or Fiction: 2-3 Shore Stories or 8-10 Poems
Two letters of recommendation are required. You should ask two individuals who are familiar with your writing abilities (former teachers, writing workshop instructors, advisors, counselors, etc.), to write letters, and put them in a sealed envelope, which they have signed on the seal, and include these w/ your portfolio.
