Minor in Chemistry

Students interested in the minor in chemistry must submit a completed Application for a Program of Minor Study to the coordinator of the Chemistry Board of Study.

Academic Requirements for the Minor in Chemistry
Students may choose one of the two following pathways:

Pathway One:

  1. CHE 1550 and 1551/General Chemistry I and Lab
  2. CHE 1560 and 1561/General Chemistry II and Lab
  3. CHE 3310 and 3311/Organic Chemistry I and Lab
  4. CHE 3320 and 3321/Organic Chemistry II and Lab
  5. And one upper-level elective in chemistry

Pathway Two:

  1. CHE 1550 and 1551/General Chemistry I and Lab
  2. CHE 1560 and 1561/General Chemistry II and Lab
  3. CHE 3310 and 3311/Organic Chemistry I and Lab
  4. CHE 3350/Organic Chemistry Bridge to Biochemistry
  5. And two upper-level electives in chemistry (a lecture and lab combination satisfies this requirement)
